Blackwell Golf Club is a historic course founded in 1893, later being redesigned into an 18-hole layout by noted architects Tom Simpson and Herbert Fowler. It has built a strong reputation over the years and has even hosted regional qualifying for The Open Championship.

The course is a classic parkland layout, featuring gently rolling terrain, mature trees, and well-protected greens. While not especially long, it offers a strategic challenge and is particularly known for its strong set of par-three holes.
